The 2026 program runs from June 1–August 6. You’ll work a compressed 9am–4pm schedule, Monday through Thursday—giving you 3-day weekends to recharge and explore!

Yes! Our program is built to give you the best of both worlds: a broad overview of the entire agency and a deep dive into your specific area of interest.

Your time is split between two components that run at the same time:

  • Broad Exposure (The Fergiversity Curriculum): This is your structured, 10-week “all-access pass.” You’ll join sessions with leaders from every department to get a 360-degree view of how a full-service agency operates. As part of this curriculum, you’ll tackle related projects that give you hands-on experience in each area.
  • Deep Focus (Your Daily Department Work): This is where you join the team. We pair you with a mentor in your chosen field, and your day-to-day work involves supporting them on other live client projects as they happen.

Fergiversity provides the consistent foundation, but your weekly balance will shift based on our clients’ needs. Some weeks you may spend more time on Fergiversity projects, while other weeks you might be 95% focused on daily department work. This blend ensures you get a complete and realistic agency experience.

For our primary summer internship program, we are looking for:

  • College Students: The program is designed for students currently enrolled in a college or university.
  • Upperclassmen Preferred: We give preference to upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) who are nearing graduation.
  • Marketing-Related Fields: Your area of study should be in marketing, advertising, communications, design, or a related field.

We focus on this group because it allows us to tailor the program to the advanced skills and professional development goals of students who are close to launching their careers in our industry.

We try to keep it simple! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A Current Resume (Required): This is where you’ll tell us about your experience, education, and relevant coursework.
  • A Portfolio (Highly Encouraged for Creatives): If you are interested in Art Direction or Copywriting, your portfolio is the best way to show us your work and creative thinking. A link to your personal website works as well!

Very possibly! Let us know that’s what you want and we’ll talk.

*While our summer program is for college students, we are deeply committed to developing local talent. We have a separate, dedicated partnership with the Fort Wayne Community Schools Amp Lab and work directly with its faculty and students on programming here at our Electric Works campus.
