Kate Virag leads with positivity, strategy and curiosity. As President of Ferguson, she combines strategic vision, relationship-building and a passion for solving problems to guide the agency’s continued growth while helping clients navigate an ever-changing marketing landscape.
In her role, Kate works closely with clients and agency teams to develop integrated marketing and communications strategies that drive engagement, strengthen brands and deliver measurable results. Throughout her 15+ year career, she has led initiatives across a wide range of industries and organizations, leaning on expertise in public relations, digital marketing, communications and brand strategy.
Kate’s professional journey includes leadership roles across several industries, including economic development, retail and nonprofit, giving her insights into the shared challenges and unique opportunities organizations face. She earned her degree in Journalism from Indiana University and has built her career around a belief in strong relationships, thoughtful strategy and innovative thinking. Energized by new possibilities and motivated by helping people reach their full potential, she enjoys bringing together the right people and ideas to solve complex challenges. In addition to her professional work, Kate is deeply committed to serving her community. She is actively involved with several local and regional nonprofits, including PBS Fort Wayne, Northeast Indiana Public Radio and the Northwest Allen County Schools Education Foundation.
Outside the office, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and can often be found traveling between her son’s hockey tournaments and her daughter’s track meets. She loves a good story in any form, from books and podcasts to documentaries and is always eager to swap recommendations—especially when true crime is involved.
