Part Numbers --Toyota 80 Series Electric Locking Differentials Retrofit for an FJ60

Here's a list of Toyota part numbers you can use to help you find the parts.  Expect to have a hard time getting most USA Toyota Dealerships to even look-up non-USA parts, let alone order them.  It was rumored that some dealerships that advertise in TLCA's publication Toyota Trails could order you the axle shafts, but I never succeeded with them--even when I had the part numbers.  Supposedly, if you give any dealer the part number, they can enter it in their system and it comes up, but doesn't have a listing.  I never had success with most dealerships I tried.  Anyway, I ended up finding an excellent parts contact that works for a Toyota Dealership in Albuquerque, NM and he got me the parts I needed and gave me a TLCA member discount.  You can find him on the IH8MUD.com forums or email me for his contact info.

- 41110-60351 - OEM electric locking differential (with actuator), rear, 80 series

- 43412-60050 - (or 43412-60051) OEM axle shaft, 60 series front, long side, long-splined

- OEM axle shaft, 70 series front (pre 1991), long side, long splined (will work for 40 and 55 series)

- 42311-60081 - OEM axle shaft, 60 series rear, short side, long splined (same part number can be used for 40 series) *

- 90310-36003 - OEM axle shaft seal, FF rear, either side (newer) *

- OEM axle shaft seal, FF rear, either side (older) 

- 90311-33085 - OEM axle shaft seal, front, either side

- 90116-10124 - OEM diff stud, 91 mm

- 90116-10075 - OEM diff stud, 53 mm

- 42181-60060 - OEM diff gasket (not the diff cover gasket), 60 series rear (if you don't notch the housing)

- 42181-60070 - OEM diff gasket, 80 series rear, locking (if you do notch the housing)

*Note:  If you purchase a new OEM Toyota shaft, you must also purchase a new corresponding OEM axle seal (the sealing surface of the newer axle shafts is larger and thus need the corresponding seal).  You would of course still use the older seal size for the older stock axles.
